Pan Am & Assumption University of Thailand Opening Simulator Training Center

Assumption University (AU) and Pan Am International Flight Academy (Pan Am) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to develop a world-class flight simulator training center at Assumption’s Suvarnabhumi Campus.
“Pan Am is excited to work with the leading University in Thailand on this visionary project. The University’s commitment to develop a center for aviation education in Thailand to serve the youth and airlines of the region corresponds with Pan Am’s vision for Thailand and Asia.”, according to Mark Johnson, Pan Am’s Vice President of Technical Services.
In addition to the University’s existing Airbus 320 simulator, Pan Am intends to move three additional full flight simulators to the campus. These simulators will be available for training by the second quarter of 2014.
Assumption University is a private Catholic University located in Bangkok, Thailand with three campuses in the Hua Mak, Central World Plaza in downtown Bangkok and Suvarnabhumi areas of Samut Prakan Province, Thailand. With approximately 20,000 students from over 75 countries, the university is led by the Brothers of St. Gabriel, who have been active in education in Thailand since 1901.
Pan Am International Flight Academy headquartered in Miami, FL, has its origins in Pan American World Airways as its original training division, and operates under one of the world’s most recognized brands. Recently Acquired by ANA Holdings, the academy has nine training facilities around the world, providing flight simulation and training on many aircraft types including Boeing, Airbus, Embraer, Bombardier, McDonnell Douglas, SAAB and Cessna. Pan Am also supports airlines with cabin crew training courses, aircraft maintenance training courses and aircraft dispatcher courses.
